on his knees
mm today went home early. nobody go out with ughh everyone's studying. i guess i should be too? but i guess i just have too much an affinity with last minute stuff... which sometimes pisses me off! my work at expo? my dad threw it at me last minute so i only had 12 hours ( make that 8 by the time i reached home ) to read up on the products and like find out all the nonsense. ITS MY FIRST JOB AT LEAST GIVE ME A EARLIER NOTICE. also there was the sheng yang presentation? LAST MINUTE ALSO. wth man then they still can complain i so much singlish. its Singapore and i'm speaking to 13 and 14 year olds. i don't really think they would pay attention to a profound and boring speech. the idea of the speech was to let them know and understand what we did during the overseas trip and to encourage students to go for the exchange programme. not tell them how boring it is and have the minority try out for the audition. then you guys would only be able to pick. lets see , the handful which auditioned cuz you don't get a choice do you now? gah whatever, anyway i just finished watching AVATAR - the legend of aang it was quite meaningful actually other then waterfalls appearing out of no where whenever he needs to bend water. -_- but the effects are great. has great morales but unfornately too much smooching for small kids who tune in to nickolodeon every evenning? ahwell. did i mention its NOT a japanese anime? how cool is tat! :X Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400, carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course! Well, everyone has such a bank. It's name is time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the records of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against the tomorrow. You must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success! The clock is running. Make the most of today. To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a grade. To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby. To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper. To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet. To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train. To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who just avoided an accident. To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics. Treasure every moment that you have! And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. And remember, time waits for no one. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present. and therefore, i guess i should not be doing last minute work anymore and start making use of this. time ... to well do something more productive which was something i always wanted to do. but never done anything about it! you know its just not as fun when you're missing one person :O |
